The Yellowstone Strengths Academy offers specialized instruction designed by a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and taught by professionals from the community.  This concentrated curriculum is coupled with strategies, motivational techniques, mentorships and practical experience to help workers gain stronger insights into their natural talents while sharpening their communication, interpersonal and professional skills.


This ambitious, privately-led, publicly-endorsed educational project is intended to inspire students by building confidence and competence as a foundation for setting and achieving educational and career goals. Individuals, foundations, organizations, nonprofits and the public sector are being asked to unite and support this community-focused effort to strengthen personal and career wellbeing.

Why You Should Partner with The Academy

The Academy is a place where workers can gain stronger insights into their natural talents while sharpening their communication, interpersonal and professional skills. Academy engagement is designed to build student confidence and competence as a foundation for setting and achieving goals for their education and career

development.  


According to area employer feedback and survey data within the 2018 State of the Workforce Report, employers have confirmed they are experiencing a significant challenge finding individuals with employability skills. In 14 out of the 15 categories, 50% or fewer respondents indicated that it was “easy” or “very easy” to find applicants with the stated skills.  Compared to technical skills, survey data suggested a bigger challenge in finding candidate with strong employability skills. In 14 out of 15 listed employability skills, 50% or more of survey respondents stated they had problems finding candidates. The top 3 hardest-to-find employability skills are critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving


The Academy Is designed to build these employability skills which will directly benefit the individuals and organizations of our community.  Employer Partners benefit from the following:
